Mega Dragon slots is an 8 reel, 7-row slot that utilises a cluster payline system. The game has been developed by the team at Red Tiger Gaming and, like many of their slots, features an Asian inspired theme. The symbols are all modelled after this theme, with the high-value ones comprised of a solid gold hat, three gold coins, an intricate marble design, and a red scroll. The standard 10-A format is used for the low-value ones in an artistic ink fashion. There is a wild in-game, shown as a gold dragon, which will help trigger one of three bonus features.

Visuals and Paytable
Sometimes, the best displays aren’t the most visually striking, and that can certainly be argued in the case of this slot. Rather than focusing on a load of flashy effects of CGI scenes, Mega Dragon has a few visual feats that are executed to a high standard. To start with, the backdrop showcases a stunning landscape, with towering mountains enveloped in mist. The reels themselves are shown as a temple, with gold steps leading up to two huge red pillars wrapped in dragons. This all adds to the thematic qualities of the game and conveys the aesthetic Red Tiger Gaming are going for perfectly.
The bonus shows off some immense graphics as well, with three separate parts, all of which looks great. Essentially, when you trigger the bonus, one of three effects will be bestowed to you by an animated dragon. However, this dragon will be different depending on which you receive, with red, green, and gold all on offer. Each has a unique colour scheme and animated effects that are rendered superbly on the reels and it makes the already great thematic representation that much better.
Bonus Features
Cluster Paylines
This is more of a mechanic than a bonus and is active throughout the game. Essentially, instead of landing winning combinations on a payline, you will have to land them in clusters. When you do, these combinations will explode, and all the symbols involved will be removed from play. The great thing about this mechanic is that, after the previous ones are gone, new symbols will move into their positions. This can potentially create new winning combinations, plus this cycle will repeat until no new wins can be made, so it can prove quite generous if you are fortunate.
Green Dragon Bonus
If you land two wilds in adjacent positions on the reels, one of three dragon bonuses will initiate. The first of these is the Green Dragon feature, which will duplicate one of the royal card symbols, and then that will be transformed into a high-value symbol. Afterwards, a new calculation will be made.
Golden Dragon Bonus
If this feature is triggered, a random number of wilds will be added into play and a new calculation will ensue.
Red Dragon Bonus
When this feature triggers, a wonderfully rendered red dragon will soar across the reels, highlighting one of the high-value symbols as it does. The chosen icon will then expand until it occupies 2x2 positions on the board at least. It can reach 3x3, or even 4x4, so there is plenty of potential to land those big wins.
